Prime Video has officially given a new Allen Iverson documentary the green light. The untitled project is a joint venture between Shaquille O’Neal’s Jersey Legends and Stephen Curry’s Unanimous Media and will focus on present-day Iverson as he reflects on his storied career.

“I’m ready to tell my story my way, authentic and unapologetically,” Iverson said. “I look forward to people seeing a side of me they haven’t seen before.”

Throughout the feature-length film, Iverson will take viewers on a journey through his storied history into the present day where he realizes his cultural impact long after his playing days came to an end. The film will offer unprecedented access and personal stories, along with intimate interviews with family, friends, and fellow NBA players and coaches.

“Allen was a pioneer in the world of sports and entertainment, “said Jersey Legends Shaquille O’Neal. “His cultural impact was bigger than basketball and this documentary sets out to properly define his legacy.”

“The Answer” is known for his authentic voice and unapologetic expression of style, which paved the way for future generations and revolutionized the culture of the NBA. His magnetic personality and fierce competitive spirit endeared him to fans, teammates, and opposing players alike.

“We’re excited to join forces with Prime Video, Shaquille O’Neal, and Jersey Legends to tell the incredible story of Allen Iverson, a revolutionary figure with deep influence on and off the court,” said Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton of Unanimous Media. “This project provides us the opportunity to pull back the curtains on Iverson’s storied career, legacy, and impact through meaningful storytelling that will appeal to audiences worldwide.”

The documentary is untitled and has no release date as of yet.

Sports Illustrated could be back under new ownership — a longtime sports media company with other established brands under its belt. According to Front Office Sports, Minute Media is the leader in the clubhouse to acquire publishing rights to Sports Illustrated from Authentic Brands Group.

FOS reporter A.J. Perez says Minute — the parent company of sites like The Players’ Tribune and The Big Lead — is considered the front-runner to take over SI’s operations. One of Perez’s two cited sources said Authentic is expected to decide who will operate SI over the next month.

In January, SI’s parent company Authentic Brands Group pulled the SI license from The Arena Group, the publishing company that was in charge of SI’s daily operations. In response, Arena laid off SI’s entire staff, although some, like media reporter Jimmy Traina, were still working.

The article also states that while Minute Media would own the sports publishing arm, it probably won’t own the SI Swimsuit Edition, which FOS says could be split off and sold to another bidder. Perez says the move to split SI and its Swimsuit Edition was received well by current Arena Group leader Manoj Bhargava.

Perez notes that the Swimsuit Edition used to be a major profit driver for the publication but that things have changed in recent years and was actually close to losing money. He also says that, like much of the rest ofSI, the swimsuit edition has languished under Arena.

Former college football coach and ESPN analyst Lou Holtz has announced a new podcast project that is set to debut later this week.

The Lou Holtz Show will publish two episodes per month and will be distributed in conjunction with the America First Policy Institute.

“The purpose of the podcast is not to promote Republicans, Democrats, White, Black. It’s just to get people to make good choices. We need to get back to teaching young people about obligation, and how to help other people, how to make good choices, and understand that wherever you are in life, it is because of the choices you make,”Holtzsaid.

According to a release from the Institute, each episode will feature a unique guest who has made a profound impact on American culture.

Upcoming guests include Heisman Trophy winner and NFL Hall of Famer Tim Brown, former college football coach and analyst Urban Meyer, LIV Golfer Ian Poulter, and former college football coach and current Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).

The debut episode of the podcast will be released on Thursday, March 14th, and feature a conversation with Auburn men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl.
